Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MYTPSMS SERVICE ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use MYTPSMS (the "Service") at https://mytpsms.com.
We are the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have questions, contact us at mytpsms@tp2fa.com.ng.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; we never see or store your actual password.
- Support messages — anything you send us when you contact support.
1.2 Information created when you use the Service
- Wallet and transaction records — deposits, purchases, refunds, referral bonuses, amounts, references and timestamps.
- Order records — the country and service you selected, the virtual number issued to you, order status and timestamps.
- SMS content — the verification code and the text of messages received on a number you rented. Please see section 2.1, which explains this in more detail.
- Account settings — such as your display theme and favourite countries or services.
- Email delivery records — the recipient, subject, time and delivery status of emails we send you, so we can diagnose delivery problems.
1.3 Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and server log entries, used for security, fraud prevention and diagnostics.
We do not collect or store your card number, CVV or bank login details. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider.
2. Important notes about SMS content
2.1 We receive and store the messages sent to your rented number
To deliver the Service, our systems receive messages sent to the temporary number you rent, and store the verification code and message text against your order. This is necessary to show you the code and to resolve disputes and refunds.
Because of this, you should never use a rented number for anything sensitive — such as banking, medical, or government services, or to receive private personal correspondence. Temporary numbers are recycled between customers and must be treated as public.
2.2 Third parties in the delivery chain
Numbers are supplied by upstream telecommunications providers. Those providers, and the mobile networks carrying the message, also process the message in order to deliver it to us.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account, including email verification.
- To provide the Service — issuing numbers, delivering codes, and processing refunds.
- To process deposits and maintain your wallet balance and transaction history.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and breaches of our Terms of Service.
- To maintain security, monitor performance and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
- To send you service messages, such as password resets, verification links and important account notices.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve reliability.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial records and respond to lawful requests.
- Consent — where we ask for it specifically, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment providers — to process deposits and verify payments.
- SMS number suppliers — to obtain numbers and retrieve messages. They receive the technical details needed to fulfil an order, not your name or email.
- Email delivery providers — to send verification, password reset and service emails.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — who store and serve the Service on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, court order, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
These providers act on our instructions and are required to protect your data.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country, so your data may be processed abroad. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, including contractual safeguards with those providers.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all of which are necessary for the Service to work:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in as you move between pages.
- Security token — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
- Preferences — remembers settings such as light or dark mode.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
8. How long we keep data
- Account data — while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Transaction and order records — retained as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes, even after an account closes.
- SMS codes and message text — retained with the related order for support and dispute resolution, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
- Security and email delivery logs — retained for a limited period for diagnostics and fraud prevention.
9. Security
We protect the Service with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, protection against cross-site request forgery, restricted administrative access, and email verification for new accounts.
No online service can be completely secure. You play an important part: use a strong, unique password, keep your API key private, and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- complain to your data protection authority.
You can update your name and email address yourself in your profile settings. For any other request, email mytpsms@tp2fa.com.ng. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
Please note that we may be required to retain financial and transaction records even after you ask us to delete your account.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed, and we will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email where reasonably practicable.
